Ferrocene3 is an ambient, avant world trio featuring Urbana Champaign improvisers Jason Finkelman (laptop electronics + percussion), Jay Eychaner (synthesizer), and Nick Rudd (electric guitar). They have enjoyed recent collaborations with dance improv artist Kirstie Simson and Philadelphia area saxophonist Jack Wright.

Dottie and the 'Rail plays two-tapping country standards that Dottie's mean ex-husbands used to forbid her from singing in the 1960s. Good riddance to them. Some originals, too. www.myspace.com/dottieandtherail

Paul Kotheimer: Making his own hand-made brand of poetical and political acoustic music for over 20 years, Kotheimer is locally world-famous as "One of the best songwriters you've never heard of." www.handmaderecords.com

Cristy Scoggins and William Gillespie intend to present the latest findings from their rock scholarship research, in a short reading comprising fiction, poetry, and vitriol. RIYL: King Crimson. http://rockgeekchic.com

Eleni Moraites: Acoustic rock with thoughtful lyrics and folk-bent harmony. Music to remind you. www.cdbaby.com

Kevin Elliott's music consists of original folky songs with just vocals & acoustic fingerstyle guitar ... lots of little stories & social commentary with quirky characters & pretty melodies ... a touch of blues too. www.kevinelliottmusic.com
