How Do I Get a Show?

As a community radio station WRFU is dedicated to giving everyone in the community a voice. To that end, anyone can be on the air provided we still have room in the schedule.

All prospective programming groups must be approved by the general membership. Before approval programming groups must:

• Have a minimum of 2 people willing to do the show
  
• Register a username on this website and complete a proposal form
  
• Pay WRFU and U-C IMC annual dues
  
• Complete the WRFU training course - a single 90 minute session in which you learn about WRFU and the IMC, legal regulations on broadcasting, and how to operate our studio.
  
• Attend one WRFU general meeting a month. Meetings take place on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 8PM and on the 3rd Saturday at 1pm.
  
• Subscribe to the very low traffic WRFU Station mailing list here.

If you have an idea for a show that you would like to propose, you need to initially complete the following steps:

1.) Register on this site
2.) Search the schedule for a desired free slot
3.) After completing registration on this website please login and return here to complete the proposal process.

We have created a non-functioning proposal form so you can compile the information ahead of time.
NOTE: A show proposal will require a minimum of 2 hosts registered on this website.

Following completion of the proposal form a member from the membership group will contact you.
